Because nothing here is leaking, you get to decide the layout, the materials and the timing. We are licensed and insured, we give a clear price before work starts, and we offer same-day appointments when available for smaller hookups.
What we install and connect
Most installation calls fall into a few groups. Each one has its own measurements and its own quirks.
Fixtures
Sinks, toilets, tubs, showers and faucets, including shutoff valves and supply lines under each.
Appliance hookups
Washing machine boxes, dishwasher supply and drain, refrigerator ice-maker lines and water heater connections.
New lines
Supply and drain runs for an added bathroom, wet bar, laundry room or outdoor spigot.
Backflow assemblies
Devices that keep irrigation or other lines from pulling water back into the drinking supply.
New construction plumbing, step by step
New construction plumbing happens in stages. The first is the underground rough-in, where drain and vent pipes are set before a slab is poured, because there is no easy way to reach them afterward. The second is the above-slab or in-wall rough-in, where supply lines, drains and vents are run through framing before drywall goes up.
The last stage is the trim-out, when fixtures, faucets and valves are set. Each stage is usually inspected before it is covered. That is why getting the layout right on paper matters, because moving a toilet drain after the slab is poured means cutting concrete.
The trim-out also covers each faucet and sink hookup, where the angle stops and supply lines get set. We can walk through the stages with you and your builder.
PEX or copper supply lines
Both materials work, and the choice depends on the job. This table shows how they compare in plain terms.
| Point | PEX | Copper |
|---|---|---|
| Flexibility | Bends around corners, fewer fittings | Rigid, needs elbows and joints |
| Joining | Crimp or expansion rings | Soldered or press fittings |
| Sunlight | Must not sit in direct UV | No UV problem |
| Noise | Quieter in the wall | Can tick as it heats |
| Aggressive water | Does not pit from inside | Can develop pinholes over time |
| Repairs | Easy to cut and re-couple | Needs heat and clean joints |
Adding a bathroom or a laundry line
A new bathroom needs hot and cold supply, a drain sized for each fixture, and a vent so the traps do not lose their water seal. The biggest question is where the new drain ties in. A toilet needs a 3 inch drain, while a sink or shower can use 1.5 to 2 inches.
A laundry line is simpler but still needs thought. A washing machine box has hot and cold valves and a standpipe drain, usually 2 inches, with a trap and vent. If the washer drain has no room to run, a slow drain or an overflow follows.
On a slab house, new drains may mean cutting the concrete. That is one reason to plan a bathroom addition around the existing wet wall. If the work touches an old drain that is already slow, our drain cleaning team can check it first.
Irrigation backflow assemblies and annual testing
A backflow assembly is a valve device on your irrigation line, and sometimes on other lines, that keeps dirty water from flowing backward into the drinking supply. Lawn sprinkler heads sit in soil, fertilizer and standing water, so the assembly is what stops that from being siphoned into the pipes.
These devices have springs and seals inside, so they wear. Many utilities ask owners to have them tested every year with a gauge kit that checks whether the check valves still hold. Whether your property needs an annual test, who may perform it, and how the result is reported all depend on the utility and the way the water is used.
We do not state a rule here because it is not ours to state. Ask the City of Casselberry Utilities Department what applies to your address, then call us and we will tell you what we can install, repair or arrange. Where reclaimed water or a separate irrigation meter applies, the city's own pages explain it.
How a planned installation visit runs
Planned work follows a simple order so nothing is rushed.
- We look at the space, measure the rough-in distances and talk through fixture choices, layout and timing.
- You get a clear price before work starts, and we agree on a start date, with same-day appointments when available for smaller jobs.
- We shut off the water, protect floors and cabinets, then run lines, set valves and connect fixtures.
- We pressure-test new supply lines and run water through every drain to check for leaks.
- We walk the finished work with you and show you the shutoff valves for each new fixture.
Permit rules vary, so ask the Casselberry Building Division
Some plumbing work needs a permit and some does not, and the rules depend on the scope. We do not decide that for you here. The City of Casselberry Building Division, at 95 Triplet Lake Drive, handles permits, has an online portal, and its fee schedule includes a plumbing and gas category.
Contractors upload a current state license, workers' compensation proof or exemption, general liability insurance and a business tax receipt with each application. You can check any Florida contractor's license at MyFloridaLicense.com. A property in unincorporated Fern Park is handled by Seminole County instead, so ask them if that is you.
What decides the price of a plumbing installation
Two bathrooms that look alike can cost very different amounts. We quote a clear price before work starts, based on the real layout.
Distance to existing lines
A fixture next to an existing wet wall is a short tie-in. A fixture across the house needs much more pipe.
Slab or crawlspace
Cutting concrete for a drain adds labor, patching and time that wood-framed access does not.
Pipe material
PEX and copper differ in cost, tools and time, and the choice may depend on what you already have.
Fixtures and appliances
The price of the toilet, tub or water heater is separate from the labor to connect it.
Permit and inspection steps
If a permit applies, the paperwork and inspection scheduling are part of the job.
Homeowners insurance generally does not pay for planned upgrades or new installations. It may help with sudden, accidental damage, but typically not wear. Check your policy.
Before your installer arrives
- Clear the area under sinks, around the washer and in the work zone so the crew can reach the shutoffs.
- Know where your main water shutoff is, and test it gently.
- Pick fixtures first, because the rough-in depends on the model's required measurements.
- Tell us about any slow drains or low-pressure spots so we can look at them at the same time.
- Ask your builder or landlord about permits and approvals before you commit to a plan.
Frequently asked questions
Usually yes, as long as it matches the rough-in and is in good condition. Send us the model name beforehand so we can check the connections.
Neither is better for every house. PEX is flexible and quick to run, while copper is rigid and handles sunlight. We pick based on where the pipe goes and what you already have.
Permit rules vary, so ask the Casselberry Building Division. We can tell you what the work involves, and they tell you what the permit requires.
Requirements depend on the utility and the use. Ask the City of Casselberry Utilities Department what it requires for your address, then call us.
Often, if water and a drain can be reached. The wall layout and the distance to the nearest drain decide the details. We also take planned work for homes in Oviedo.
Water heater work has its own page, and you can read about water heater installation for sizing, venting and expansion tanks.
